Portugal Golden Visa Fund Statistics (2026)
Statistics calculated from 32 publicly visible fund profiles that Movingto marks as eligible for Portugal's Golden Visa fund route. This monitored dataset is not an official or exhaustive market census. Every statistic uses recorded values only and states its denominator.

Key findings
A newsroom-ready summary of the current monitored profile set. Disclosure counts appear beside every average or ratio.
Changes since the 2026-08-05 baseline
The tracked profile set is unchanged since 2026-08-05: 32 profiles then, 32 now. The median recorded management fee was 1.8% at the baseline and is 1.8% in this edition.
Where fees and minimums sit
Distribution of recorded management fees and subscription minimums across tracked profiles. Profiles without the relevant value are excluded.
Fees and minimums by strategy
Average management fee and lowest recorded minimum per Movingto strategy category. Averages cover profiles with a recorded fee only.
Selections from Movingto Fund Finder users
Aggregate selections from 69 unique people who used Movingto's fund-matching tool in the last 12 months, counted once each. This is a self-selected research audience, not a count of completed investors or a representative market sample. Groups smaller than five are folded into other.
Profile completeness
Presence of selected fields in Movingto's tracked profiles. This measures directory completeness, not the transparency of the Portuguese fund market.
Methodology
The dataset contains every publicly visible profile in Movingto's directory currently flagged as eligible for the Portugal Golden Visa (ARI) fund route. It excludes profiles not carrying that flag and funds that are not in the directory, so it must not be read as a census. Missing values are not imputed: each statistic excludes them and states its denominator. Profile fields may come from managers, source documents, or Movingto research and do not imply that every possible disclosure has been captured.
Fee figures are the values recorded on profiles. Share classes, fee bases, VAT treatment, hurdle rates, and performance-fee mechanics can differ, so averages are descriptive rather than like-for-like quotes. “Open” and “closing soon” count only explicitly recorded statuses and do not guarantee that subscriptions are currently available.
Current Movingto verification means an approved profile remains within the program's 90-day review window. Previously approved profiles outside that window are reported separately as review due. See the verification program for the process and limitations.
A fund's own subscription minimum can be lower than the immigration-route threshold; the two numbers answer different questions. AIMA currently states that this ARI route requires €500,000 in units of qualifying non-real-estate collective investment undertakings constituted under Portuguese law, with a maturity of at least five years and at least 60% invested through commercial companies headquartered in Portugal. Check the current wording with AIMA and search official fund and manager records through the Portuguese government's CMVM consultation service.
The change section compares the current tracked set with a committed snapshot taken on 2026-08-05; additions and removals are directory changes, not proof of fund launches or closures. The baseline is refreshed quarterly. Manual review dates are recorded on 22 of 32 profiles, ranging from 2025-12-01 to 2026-07-13.
Fund Finder figures come from answers supplied by a self-selected group of people researching funds on this site. Each user is counted once using their latest submission, and only bucket counts are published. They do not measure completed investments or the wider investor population.
Dataset, sources, and field definitions
Download the current 32-record snapshot from permanent URLs. Version 2026-Q3-100fd16f. Blank values mean not recorded; they are not treated as zero.
Each record includes its permanent Movingto profile URL and the exact public URLs of source documents attached to that profile. Dedicated sources for US-person and FATCA statements are included where recorded.
Attached documents support the profile as a whole; they are not represented as field-by-field evidence unless a dedicated source URL is supplied. Website links and document counts alone should not be read as proof of a particular data field.

Frequently asked questions
Movingto tracks 32 publicly visible fund profiles marked as eligible for Portugal's Golden Visa fund route, run by 21 fund managers. 30 have a recorded status of open or closing soon. This directory is a monitored dataset, not an official or exhaustive market census.
Across 31 tracked profiles with a recorded management fee, the average is 1.77% per year and the median is 1.8%. Recorded fees range from 0.5% to 2.5%. Different share classes and fee bases may not be directly comparable.
The median recorded fund subscription minimum is €100,000, and the lowest recorded minimum is €500. The Golden Visa route itself still requires €500,000 in qualifying fund units, so a lower fund minimum concerns the fund, not the visa threshold.
11 of the 32 tracked profiles report that they accept US persons. This is fund-manager-declared rather than independently verified. US investors should confirm eligibility and tax treatment with the manager and qualified US advisers.
29 of the 32 tracked profiles include a CMVM identifier. CMVM is Portugal's securities-market regulator. The presence of an identifier is a directory field, not a conclusion by Movingto about a fund's legal status or suitability.
